If you’re searching for a class that will deliver huge amounts of DPS, or has the ability to tank, look no further than the Warrior class. A Warrior is able to use all weapons (except wands) and is an easy class to start leveling which is great for WOW newbies.
Here are the races you can play as a Warrior:
Draenei: Gift of the Naaru, comes in handy but only slightly. A more useful racial trait is that Draenei’s give them and all party/raid members an extra 1% chance to hit.
Dwarf: Stoneform removes bleed, poison and disease effects. It also increases your armor by 10% for8 seconds. Mace Specialization is also useful giving an increase of one and two-handed maces by 5.
Gnomes: Escape Artist removes any immobilization effect of any spell/cast that reduces speed.
Human: Every Man for Himself removes all movement impairing effects. Humans also receive Sword and Mace Specialization which increases your expertise with both one and two-handed swords and maces by 3.
Night Elves: Shadowmeld allows for you to slip into the shadows which reduce the chances of enemies detecting you. Quickness reduces the chance by 2% that melee or ranged enemies will hit you.
And if you’re “for the Horde!” here are the available races:
Orcs: Blood Fury increases attack power four times your level plus 2. Hardiness reduces the duration of stun effects by 15% and Orcs also receive Axe Specialization for not only axes and two-handed axes but fist weapons as well by 5.
Tauren: Endurance increases health by 5% and War Stomp stuns up to 5 enemies up to 8 yards for 2 seconds.
Trolls: Berserking increases attack speed by 20% for 10 seconds. Regeneration increases your health regeneration bonus by 10% and also regenerates your normal health during combat by 10% as well. Da Voodoo Shuffle reduces all movement and impairing effects by 15%
Undead: Cannibalize regenerates 7% of your total health every 2 seconds for 10 seconds. Will of the Forsaken removes any fear, sleep and charm effects.

Now that you’ve chosen a race, let’s start to level!
As always begin leveling in your starting zone. This should bring you to level 5 or 6. After completing your starting zone, move on to the adjacent zone (usually given in the last quest). While you’re leveling here, you’ll reach level 10 and start to receive your talent points!
When it comes to talent speccing, Arms, Fury and Protection are your choices. Arms are great for anyone that’s mainly going to solo or do PVP. Although it can seem to be “slower” due to the use of two-handed weapons, it definitely gives good Rage generation. If Arms gives good rage generation, than Fury is even better or perhaps, the most reliable. This is a great spec if you want to attack non-stop, but you are more dependent on gear with this tree. The better the gear, the better this spec is. If you’ve ever played a Warrior class before, or know someone who has, then it’s no secret that the Protection spec was avoided like the plague. However, this spec is a lot better now and gives any warrior the ability to pretty much survive no matter what is thrown at them. However, remember that you NEED the rage; however there are a few talents within this tree that will aid you with that.
Here’s where you can place your first set of talent points:
Arms: Deflection, Improved Rend, Improved Charge and Tactical Mastery (1 out of 3 points).
Fury: Armored to the Teeth, Booming Voice and Cruelty.
Protection: Shield Specialization (3 out of 5 points), Improved Thunder Clap and Incite.
When you reach level 17, be sure to the dungeon ‘The Deadmines’. Wailing Caverns and Ragefire Chasm is also available around this level as well, but the Deadmines gives the best gear and drops.
When you reach level 20, you can start questing in more zones. Here are some places that you can quest for levels 20-30:
If you want to quest in more “Alliance friendly” zones, Redridge Mountains, Duskwood, Ashenvale and the Wetlands are your best choices. If you want to quest in zones tailored for the Horde, the Barrens, Stonetalon Mountains and Thousand Needles are good choices. Keep in mind that Thousand Needles will take you all the way to level 35 when leveling.
Instances that you can do for levels 20-30 are Shadowfang Keep, Blackfathom Deeps, Razorfen Kraul and Gnomeregan.
Here’s where you can place your talent points as well:
Arms: Improved Overpower, Impale, Deep Wounds and Two-Handed Weapon Specialization
Fury: Piercing Howl, Blood Craze and Commanding Presence
Protection: Anticipation, Last Stand, Improved Revenge and Shield Mastery
Now that you’re at level 30, the questing zones become contested from here on out; where you want to quest depends on which continent you want to quest in. If you want to quest in the Eastern Kingdoms, head over to Alterac Mountains, Arathi Highlands, Stranglethorn Vale (STV), the Badlands and Swamp of Sorrows. FYI, the Swamp of Sorrows is more geared towards the Horde. Also, STV, the Badlands and the Swamp of Sorrows will take you to level 45 when leveling, so save these zones for last.
If questing in Kalimdor is more for you, you can finish questing in Thousand Needles (if you started there), and then begin questing in Desolace, and then Dustwallow Marsh. Dustwallow Marsh will take you all the way to level 45 so save this place for last.
Instances for levels 30-40 are Scarlet Monastery, Razorfen Downs and Uldaman. Though this may seem like a short list, Scarlet Monastery is a 4-part dungeon that’s done throughout levels 32-35.
Here’s a suggested list of where to place your talent points for levels 30-40:
Arms: Taste for Blood, Poleaxe Specialization, Sweeping Strikes and Trauma
Fury: Dual Wield Specialization, Precision and Death Wish.
Protection: Toughness, Concussion Blow, Gag Order and Improved Defensive Stance
Congratulations on reaching level 40! You’re halfway to a level 80 warrior and you’ve just received your first epic mount! Here’s where you can quest for levels 40-50:
If you’re questing in the Eastern Kingdoms, finish questing in STV, the Badlands, and/or Swamp of Sorrows. After you’ve finished questing there, head over to the Hinterlands and the Searing Gorge. You can also start questing in the Blasted Lands, but this zone will take you to level 55.
If you’re questing in Kalimdor, finish the quests in Dustwallow Marsh and then head over to Feralas, Tanaris and then Azshara, Felwood, and the Un’Goro Crater. Quest in these places last because those zones will take you all the way to level 55.
Dungeons that you can do at these levels are Maraudon and Sunken Temple. Although this may seem like an even shorter list then for levels 30-40, Maraudon (Mara) is a somewhat long, 3-part dungeon.
Here’s where you can place your talent points for levels 40-50:
Arms: Mortal Strike, Strength of Arms, Improved Slam, Improved Mortal Strike and Unrelenting Assault
Fury: Flurry, Bloodthirst and Improved Whirlwind
Protection: One-handed Weapon Specialization and Focused Rage
Now that you’ve reached level 50, here are some places you can quest for levels 50-60: If you’ve been questing in the Eastern Kingdoms, finish the quests in the Blasted Lands. Afterwards you can head over to the Burning Steppes, and then the Western and Eastern Plaguelands.
If you’re questing in Kalimdor, finish the quests in Azshara, Felwood and the Un’Goro Crater first. After you’re done there, head over to Winterspring and Silithus.
Blackrock Depths, Dire Maul, Scholomance, Stratholme and Blackrock Spire are all dungeons that you can run for levels 50-60, however, here are a few things you should keep in mind: Dire Maul, Scholomance and Stratholme start at level 55, so unless you’re in a group/guild with people that you know (and not just a pick up group) you might want to wait a few more levels before running these (level 57 or so).
Here’s where you can place your talent points for levels 50-60:
Arms: Sudden Death (2 out of 3 points), Endless Rage, Blood Frenzy and Wrecking Crew
Fury: Improved Berserker Stance, Rampage and Bloodsurge
Protection: Vitality, Warbringer, Devastate and Critical Block
Congratulations on reaching level 60! Now it’s time to head to Outland! Outland may seem confusing or just plain overwhelming for someone that’s never been there. However, here is the most popular order for quest zones in Outland: Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh, Terokkar Forest, Nagrand, Blade’s Edge Mountains, Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley.
When it comes to running dungeons for levels 60-70, the list begins to get long. A small list of dungeons for these levels includes Hellfire Citadel, Auchindoun and The Eye. You can also still do Dire Maul, Scholomance, and Stratholme if you haven’t completed them yet.
Here’s where you can place your talent points for levels 60-70:
Arms: Bladestorm, Armored to the Teeth and Booming Voice (located in the Fury tree)
Fury: Unending Fury, Titan’s Grip and Intensify Rage
Protection: Sword and Board, Damage Shield, Shockwave and Armored to the Teeth (located in the Fury tree).
Only 10 more levels to go and you’ll have a level 80 warrior! Now that you’re about to quest in Northrend, here is the most popular questing order for this zone: The Borean Tundra, Howling Fjord, Dragonblight, Grizzly Hills, Zul’Drak, Sholazar Basin, Crystalsong Forest, Storm Peaks, Icecrown and Wintergrasp.
The amount of dungeons that you can do for levels 70-80 is simply mind blowing. Here’s a list of some of the dungeons that you can run: Nexus, Drak’Tharon Keep, The Violet Hold and Ulduar.
Here’s where you can place your remaining talent points:
Arms: Cruelty, Blood Craze, Commanding Presence (3 out of 5 points) and Improved Execute (located in the Protection tree)
Fury: Deflection, Improved Charge, Impale and Deep Wounds (located in the Arms tree.
Protection: Cruelty (2 out of 5 points; located in the Fury tree), Improved Heroic Strike, Deflection, Improved Charge, Impale and Deep Wounds (located in the Arms tree).

They always say that “variety is the spice of life”. And if you’re looking for a class to play that has a lot of “spice”, consider playing a Shaman. Affectionately known as the “jack of all trades”, a Shaman’s style of play is frankly left up to the player. With choices such as healing, dps and melee, it’s clear that the Shaman is amazingly versatile. Here are the races that are available for a Shaman:

Alliance:
Draenei – Unfortunately this is the only class that’s available for team Alliance. However, a Draenei’s racial abilities make it a very potential prospect. Gift of the Naaru allows for a player to heal themselves but it does have a cool down of a few minutes. Some passive abilities also include shadow resistance and an increased chance to hit with all attacks and spells to all party members.
Horde:
Orcs – Blood Fury increases your attack power and Dodge increases your chance of dodging melee attacks. Orcs also receive Axe Specialization.
Trolls – Regenerate which increases the regeneration rate of your health overall. Berserking increases your attack and casting speed by 20% for 10 seconds. Also, keep in mind that Trolls have Da Voodoo Shuffle which decreases the duration of all movement impairing effects by 15%
Tauren – Nature Resistance which increases your health and also War Stomp which allows you to stun up to 5 enemies that are nearby for 2 seconds.

So now that you know what’s available for your future Shaman, let’s start leveling!
As a rule of thumb for almost every WOW player, begin leveling in your starting zone. Once you have reached level 10, you should be in your adjacent starting zone (it’s usually given as the last quest in the “beginner” starting zone). Now that your Shaman is at level 10 we start receiving talent points!
When it comes to talent speccing, a Shaman has three options: Enhancement, Elemental and Restoration. Enhancement was made for anyone that wanted to deal damage and lots of it. Elemental is for those that want to deal damage, but prefer to do it by casting spells. Restoration pretty much speaks for itself; it was made for that wants to heal.
Here are some suggestions to where you can place your first 10 talent points (levels 10-20):

Enhancement: Enhancing Totems, Ancestral Knowledge (4 out of 5 points) and Improved Shields
Elemental: Convection and Concussion
Restoration: Improved Healing Wave and Tidal Focus
Be sure that around level 15 you do the dungeon The Deadmines. This dungeon gets you started in gearing your Shaman with green (and sometimes blue) items.
Now that you’re at level 20 here are some places that you can quest: If you like questing in the Eastern Kingdoms; Redridge Mountains, Duskwood and the Wetlands are available. All of these places are geared more towards the Alliance. If you’re Horde and want to quest in the Eastern Kingdoms, go to Hillsbrad Foothills. Keep in mind that Duskwood, the Wetlands and Hillsbrad Foothills will take you to level 30, so save these places to quest last.
If you want to quest in Kalimdor; the Barrens and Stonetalon Mountains are great places to quest for Horde Players. If you’re a part of the Alliance, begin questing in Ashenvale. Ashenvale’s quests will take you to level 30.
Dungeons at this level are Shadowfang Keep and Blackfathom Deeps and Gnomeregan.
Here’s where you can place your talent points for levels 20-30:
Enhancement: Thundering Strikes and Flurry.
Elemental: Elemental Warding (1 point out of 3), Elemental Devastation and Elemental Focus and Reverberation.
Restoration: Improved Water Shield, Healing Focus, Tidal Force and Ancestral Healing

Once you’ve reached level 30, the zones become more “leveled” meaning that hardly any zones are geared more towards a certain faction. Every zone from here on out is contested. It’s simply a matter of where you want to quest. Here are some suggested questing zones for levels 30-40:
If you want to continue questing in the Eastern Kingdoms, finish the quests in Duskwood, Wetlands and Hillsbrad Foothills. After you’ve completed these zones, head over to Alterac Mountains, Arathi Highlands and Stranglethorn Vale (STV). STV has quests all the way to level 45 so it’s advisable to quest here last.
If you want to continue questing in Kalimdor, start questing in Thousand Needles (if you haven’t already) and then move on to Desolace. You can also choose to start questing in Dustwallow Marsh, but just like STV, it will take you to level 45. So if you want to quest here, make it last.
Dungeons of note at this level (30-40) are Razorfen Kraul, Razorfen Downs and Scarlet Monastery. Listed below are some suggested places you can place your talent points:
Enhancement: Elemental Weapons, Shamanistic Focus, and Improved Windfury Totem, Spirit Weapons and Mental Dexterity.
Elemental: Elemental Fury, Elemental Reach and Unrelenting Storm.
Restoration: Restorative Totems and Tidal Mastery
Now that you’re at level 40, Congrats on making it this far! You’re halfway to Outland, let’s keep going!
Here are some places to quest for levels 40-50:
For the Eastern Kingdoms, finish questing in STV. You can also head over to the Badlands and the Swamp of Sorrows; however this will only take you to level 45 or so. If you want to skip it, head over to the Hintherlands, Searing Gorge and the Blasted lands instead. The Blasted Lands will take you to level 55.
For Kalimdor, finish questing in Dustwallow Marsh. Once you’re done, you can start questing in Feralas, Tanaris and Azshara, but Azshara will take you to level 55 so make this zone last.
Dungeons that you can run at these levels include the Scarlet Monastery, Uldaman, Zul’Farrak and Maraudon.
Here’s where you can place your talent points for these levels as well:
Enhancement: Unleashed Rage, Weapon Mastery and Dual Wield,Stormstrike and Lava Lash.
Elemental: Call of Thunder, Elemental Precision, Lightning Mastery and Elemental Mastery.
Restoration: Healing Way, Nature’s Swiftness and Purification
Now your Shaman is at level 50! Only ten more levels to go until Outland! Here’s where you can quest until then ( for levels 50-60):
For the Eastern Kingdoms, finish your quests in the Blasted Lands. Once you’ve completed all the quests head over to the Burning Steppes, and then the Western & Eastern Plaguelands.
For Kalimdor, finish the quests in Azshara. You can head over to Felwood and the Un’Goro Crater but it will only take you to level 55. You can also quest in Winterspring or Silithus.
Dungeons for levels 50-60 include Sunken Temple, Blackrock Depths and Dire Maul just to name a few.
You can also place your talent points as follows:
Enhancement: Dual Wield Specialization, Static Shock, Mental Quickness and Shamanistic Rage
Elemental: Storm, Earth and Fire, Booming Echoes, Elemental Oath and Lightning Overload.
Restoration: Mana Tide Totem, Cleanse Spirit, Blessing of the Eternals, Improved Chain Heal and Nature’s Blessing.
Congrations on making it to level 60! Now its time to head over to Outland. Don’t let Outland confuse you, here is the most popular order for quest zones to visit when you start to level in Outland. Start at Hellfire Peninsula and then work your way to Zangarmarsh, Terokkar Forest, Nagrand, Blade’s Edge Mountains, Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley.
Some dungeons of note for levels 60-70 are Hellfire Citadel, Caverns of Time: Old Hillsbrad Foothills and Auchindoun.
You can also place your talent points here:
Enhancement: Malestrom Weapon, Feral Spirit and Concussion (give it 4 out of 5 points; located in the Elemental talent tree).
Elemental: Totem of Wrath, Lava Flows, Shamanism and Thunderstorm.
Restoration: Ancestral Awakening, Earth Shield, Improved Earth Shield, Tidal Waves and Riptide.
Only 10 more levels to go and you’ll have a level 80 epic Shaman! Now that questing in Outland is over, head over to Northrend. Listed below is the most popular questing order: The Borean Tundra, Howling Fjord, Dragonblight, Grizzly Hills, Zul’Drak, Sholazar Basin, Crystalsong Forest, Storm Peaks, Icecrown and Wintergrasp.
The number of dungeons that you can quest for levels 70-80 is simply mind blowing. Here’s a short list to get your started: Tempest Keep, Nexus, The Violet Hold and Ulduar.
You should also notice that you have some talent points left over. Here are some suggested places to put the rest of your talent points:
Enhancement: Add another point to Concussion (so now it’s 5/5), Call of Flame, Elemental Devastation and Elemental Fury (located in the Elemental tree).
Elemental: Ancestral Knowledge, Thundering Strikes and Shamanistic Focus (located in the Enhancement talent tree).
Restoration: Ancestral Knowledge, Thundering Strikes and Improved Shields (located in the Enhancement tree).

What do Rogues and newbies have in common? They both pick ‘locks. Honestly, I hate that joke, but if you’ve been playing WOW for any period of time, it’s almost certain that you’ve heard it before. While some may think that being a warlock is more of a “newbie” thing to do, that’s far from the truth. Warlocks have the highest survivability rate amongst the rest of the caster classes. Not to mention that your pet (demon) will aggro the enemy for you. And to top it off, the numerous amounts of spells and casts that’s available to a lock. So if you aren’t afraid of looking “newbish” for choosing a warlock, keep reading to learn how to level one up!
The first step into creating an epic warlock is choosing your race. Here are the available races plus their racial abilities:
Alliance:
Gnomes – Expansive Mind increases your intellect by 5% and Escape Artist allows you to escape any immobilization or speed reducing effect.
Humans – The Human Spirit increases Spirit by 3 and Every Man for Himself removes all movement impairing effects.
Horde:
Blood Elves – Arcane Torrent silences all enemies within an 8 yard radius for 2 seconds while restoring 6% of your Mana.
Orcs – Command increases your pet‘s damage by 5% and Blood Fury increases spell power by 3 plus your level x 2.
Undead – Will of the Forsaken removes any Charm, Fear or Sleep effect and Cannibalize will regenerate health every 2 seconds for 10 second. Remember that it only works on Humanoids or Undead corpses.
Now that you know all of the races that are available, let’s begin leveling!
As always start at your beginning zone. This will take you to level 5 or 6. After you’ve reached that level proceed to your adjacent leveling zone (i.e. from Northshire to Goldshire). This will take to you to level 10 and give you your first talent point!
When it comes to talent speccing, a lock has 3 choices: Affliction, Demonology and Destruction. Affliction is for those that want to increase the damage to their Damage Over Time (DoT) spells; Demonology is for anyone that wants to improve their pet’s damage and abilities, plus it also gives the caster nice buffs as well. And finally Destruction is for anyone that wants to use lots of big hits and big crits. I wouldn’t actually recommend Destruction for soloing, in my opinon its better to be used in a group.
Here’s where you can place your first set of talent points (levels 10-20):
Affliction: Improved Curse of Agony, Suppression and Improved Corruption
Demonology: Improved Healthstone, Improved Imp, Demonic Embrace and Improved Health Funnel.
Destruction: Improved Shadow Bolt and Bane.
Be sure that before you reach level 20 that you do the dungeon the Deadmines and Wailing Caverns. Both dungeons have some great gear for any caster class.
After you reach level 20, here are some places that you can quest for levels 20-30:
If you’re playing as part of the Alliance, you can begin questing in Redridge Mountains, Duskwood or the Wetlands. If you’re playing as part of the Horde, you can begin questing in the Barrens, Stonetalon Mountains and Ashenvale. You can also start questing in Thousand Needles at level 25, but it will take you all the way to level 35.
Dungeons that you can run at these levels are Shadowfang Keep, Blackfathom Deeps, Gnomeregan and Razorfen Kraul.
Here’s where you can place your talent points for levels 20-30:
Affliction: Improved Curse of Weakness, Improved Drain Soul, Improved Life Tap,Soul Siphon and Improved Fear
Demonology: Demonic Brutality, Fel Vitality, Improved Succubus and Soul Link.
Destruction: Aftermath, Cataclysm and Ruin.
Now that you’re at level 30, all of the zones from here on out are contested. That means that you’ll run into both factions. Here are some places you can quest for levels 30-40 depending on which continent you prefer.
If you want to quest in the Eastern Kingdoms, head over to Alterac Mountains, Arathi Highlands and Stranglethorn Vale (STV). Keep in mind that STV will take you to level 45, so you might want to quest here last. You can also start questing in the Badlands and Swamp of Sorrows once you reach level 35. However, Swamp of Sorrows isn’t recommended for the Alliance due to the lack of quests there.
If you want to quest in Kalimdor, you can finish questing in Thousand Needles (if you began questing there) and/or you can start questing in Desolace and move on to Dustwallow Marsh once you hit level 35. Dustwallow Marsh will take you all the way to level 45.
The dungeons for these levels (30-40) include Razorfen Fowns and Scarlet Monastery. While you can run Uldaman at level 39, I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re in a pickup group. And though the list of dungeons might seem short, Scarlet Monastery is a 4 part dungeon that can only be accessed once you reach certain levels.
Here’s where you can place your talent points for levels 30-40:
Affliction: Fel Concentration, Amplify Curse, Grim Reach and Nightfall.
Demonology: Fel Domination, Demonic Aegis and Unholy Power.
Destruction: Shadowburn, Demonic Power, Intensity, Destructive Reach and Improved Searing Pain.

Congrats on making it to level 40! Now that you’ve received you first epic mount and you’re halfway to having a level 80 lock, let’s keep going!
If you’ve been questing in the Eastern Kingdoms, finish questing in STV. If you started to quest in the Badlands/ Swamp of Sorrows finish questing there as well. You can also begin questing in the Hinterlands and the Searing Gorge for levels 40-50. You can start questing in the Blasted Lands at level 45 and it will take you to level 55.
If you’ve been questing in Kalimdor, you can finish up the quests in Dustwallow Marsh. Afterwards you can move on to Feralas, Tanaris and Azshara. One thing to note however is that Azshara will take you to level 55.
Instances (Dungeons) that you can run at these levels are Uldaman, Zul’Farrak, Maraudon and Sunken Temple.
Here are some suggestions for where to place your talent points (40-50):
Affliction: Empowered Corruption, Shadow Embrace, Siphon Life and Curse of Exhaustion.
Demonology: Master Summoner, Mana Feed, Master Conjuror and Master Demonologist.
Destruction: Backlash, Improved Immolate, Devastation and Nether Protection.
Only 10 more levels to go until you reach Outland! Keep going!
Here are some places to quest for level s 50-60:
If you want to keep questing in the Eastern Kingdoms and started questing in the Blasted Lands, finish the quests there and then proceed to the Burning Steppes, Western Plaguelands and the Eastern Plaguelands (in that order).
Dungeons of note at this level are Blackrock Depths, Blackrock Spire, Dire Maul, Scholomance and Stratholme (also known as Strat).
Here’s where you can place your talent points for levels 50-60 as well:
Afflicition: Shadow Mastery and Contagion.
Demonology: Demonic Resilience, Demonic Empowerment, Demonic Knowledge and Decimation.
Destruction: Emberstorm, Conflagrate and Soul Leech.

Congrations on now have a level 60 warlock! Now it’s time to head to Outland! Although Outland may seem confusing at first, here is the most popular order for quest zones to visit when you start to level in Outland. Start at Hellfire Peninsula and then work your way to Zangarmarsh, Terokkar Forest, Nagrand, Blade’s Edge Mountains, Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley.
The list of dungeons begins to get quite large starting at level 60. Here’s a list of just some of the dungeons you can do from levels 60-70: Hellfire Citadel, Caverns of Time: Old Hillsbrad Foothills and Coilfang Reservoir.
You can also place your talent points here:
Affliction: Dark Pact, Improved Howl of Terror, Malediction, Death’s Embrace and Unstable Afflicition.
Demonology: Demonic Tactics, Improved Demonic Tactics and Summon Felguard
Destruction: Pyroclasm, Improved Soul Leech (1 out of 2), Empowered Imp and Backdraft.
10 more levels to go and you’ll have a level 80 Warlock, and I bet you that you won’t hear any “newbie and Rogue” jokes! Now that you have finished questing n Outland, you can start the trek to Northrend. Here’s the most popular questing order: The Borean Tundra, Howling Fjord, Dragonblight, Grizzly Hills, Zul’Drak, Sholazar Basin, Crystalsong Forest, Storm Peaks, Icecrown and Wintergrasp.
The number of dungeons (not include the raids) for levels 70-80 are too many to list here. But here is a short list to get you started: Nexus, Gundrak, Icecrown Citadel and Ulduar.
Here are some suggested places to put the rest of your talent points:
Affliction: Pandemic, Everlasting Affliction, Haunt, Improved Healthstone, Demonic Embrace and Fel Vitality (1 out of 3; located in the Demonology talent tree).
Demonology: Nemesis, Demonic Pact, Metamorphosis and Improved Shadow Bolt.
Destruction: Shadowfury, Fire and Brimstone, Chaos Bolt, Improved Healthstone and Demonic Embrace (Improved Healtstone and Demonic Embrace are located in the Demonology talent tree).

If doing huge amounts of DPS, while stabbing your enemy in the back, all while conjuring potions sounds like your ultimate WOW character, then playing a rogue is for you. Rogues are known as World of Warcraft’s only “pure” class, meaning they do one thing and one thing only: deal damage and lots of it. While other classes, like a priest, that can heal and deal out damage, Rogues can deal out so much DPS that it makes up for any short comings. If you want to know more about leveling up a Rogue, keep reading!
Being a Rogue is available to several classes. For the Alliance, Dwarves, Gnomes, Humans and Night Elves are available. And for the Horde, Blood Elves, Orcs, Trolls and the Undead are available races that can become a Rogue. Here’s a list of racial abilities that are beneficial to Rogues:
Dwarves: Mace Expertise is increased by 5 which can be extremely helpful. Also, the ability Stoneform can cure all diseases, poisons and bleeds, which usually are used to keep a Rogue from going into stealth mode.

Gnomes: The best racial ability for a Rogue Gnome is Escape Artist which allows you to escape from snares, which would come in handy if you prefer to do some PvP.
Humans: A very strong candidate for a Rogue due to three great racial abilities. First, there’s the Mace Expertise of 3. Next, there’s Every Man for Himself, which rids you of any movement or impairing effects. Last, there’s Perception, which gives you the ability to see stealth NPCs and Enemies easier.
Night Elves: Quickness is a great racial trait which aids you in dodging hits. Shadowmeld comes in handy if you’re ever in a situation where you need to go stealth for a second time.

Here are the racial traits for the Horde:
Blood Elves: I try to find good racial abilities for any race, but when it comes to playing a Rogue, Blood Elves (and Gnomes for that matter) simply aren’t the best choices. A Blood Elf’s only racial ability that’s beneficial for Rogues is that you get 15 energy heal and silence. Compared to the other abilities for the other Horde races, this really isn’t good enough.
Orcs: Axe Specialization gives you an expertise of 5 with fist weapons and axes. Blood Fury increases your attack power by 322 for 15 seconds once you’re at level 80 (it increases level by level).

Trolls: Da Voodoo Shuffle reduces all movement or impairing effects by 15%, making all impairing spells thrown at you last for only a short time. While Berserking increases your attack speed by 20% for 10 seconds.
Undead: Will of the Forsaken removes any and all Sleep, Charm or Fear effects. Take note, however, that it shares a 45 second cool down.
Now that you know what races are available, let’s get started with leveling your Rogue!
As always, when you start to level, begin in your starting zone (for example all Humans start in Northshire, which is located within Elwynn Forest). Once you have completed all of the quests in that zone, move on to your adjacent starting zone (for example, Goldshire, which is located within Elwynn Forest as well) Questing in your “beginner” zone, not only gives you the most experience points for your current level but it keeps you from walking/running through “unsafe territory”.
By the time you’ve reached level 10, you should be finishing up questing in your adjacent starting zone and received your first talent point!
When it comes to a Rogue’s talent tree, you have 3 builds to choose from: Assassination, Combat and Subtlety. Assassination is all about getting as many combo points as quickly as possible. Combat, on the other hand, likes to give DPS over the course of the entire “fight” whether in one big burst. Subtlety focuses on speed and stealth.

Here are some suggestions to where to place your talent points for levels 10-20:
Assassination: Malice, Ruthlessness and Blood Spatter
Combat: Improved Sinister Strike, Dual Wield Specialization and Precision
Subtlety: Opportunity, Relentless Strikes and Camouflage

Before you start questing in new zones at level 20, be sure to do the instance the Deadmines which becomes available around level 15. Now that you’re at level 20 and have received your first mount, here are some places to quest:
Alliance: Redridge Mountains, Duskwood and the Wetlands. Keep in mind that in Duskwood and the Wetlands, you can quest all the way to level 30 there, so do those two questing zones last.
Horde: The Barrens and Stonetalon Mountains. You can also start questing in Thousand Needles but keep in mind that questing here will take you all the way to level 35.
Dungeons of not for levels 20-30 are Shadowfang Keep, Blackfathom Deeps, Gnomeregan and Razorfen Kraul (in that order).

Here’s where you can place your next set of talent points (from levels 20-30):
Assassination: Puncturing Wounds and Lethality
Combat: Precision, Improved Slice and Dice, Endurance (1 point) and Aggression
Subtlety: Ghostly Strike, Elusiveness, Serrated Blades, Initiative and Setup
When leveling your rogue for levels 30-40 here are some suggested questing zones:
If you want to quest in the Eastern Kingdoms, begin questing in the Alterac Mountains and Arathi Highlands. Once you’re in your mid 30s (level 33, 34, etc.), you can start questing in Stranglethorn Vale (STV) and/or the Badlands. It’s always beneficial to save STV (or the Badlands) for last, since questing in these two zones can take you to level 45.
If you want to quest in Kalimdor, finish questing in Thousand Needles (if you started mid-level 20s) then move on to Desolace and then Dustwallow Marsh. Dustwallow Marsh, just like STV, will take you all the way to level 45.
As far as instances go, be sure to do Razorfen Downs and the Scarlet Monastery. Although that may seem like a short list, the Scarlet Monastery is a dungeon separated in 4 parts and stretched across leveling throughout your 30s. And while you can enter the dungeon Uldaman at level 39, it is strongly suggested that you wait until you’re in your mid 40s to start.

Here’s where to place your talent points for levels 30-40:
Assassination: Improved Poisons, Vile Poisons and Seal Fate
Combat: Blade Flurry, Mace Specialization, Weapon Expertise and Blade Twisting
Subtlety: Finish placing the remaining 2 points in Setup. Now place the additional 8 points in Hemorrhage, Dirty Deeds and Deadliness.

Congrats on reaching level 40 and receiving your first epic mount! You’re now halfway there to having a level 80 Rogue!
Here’s where you can quest once reaching level 40 (for levels 40-50)
If you like questing in the Eastern Kingdoms, finish your quests in STV and the Badlands. Once you’ve completed the quests there, you can head over to the Hinterlands and the Searing Gorge. You can also start questing in The Blasted Lands, but just like the Badlands, save this zone for last since questing here will take you all the way to level 55.

If questing in Kalimdor is more of your style, finish the quests in Dustwallow Marsh. Once you’re done there, head over to Feralas, Tanaris and then Azshara. Just like questing in Dustwallow Marsh, quest in Azshara last because questing here will take your Rogue all the way to level 55.
A list of dungeons that’s available for levels 40-50 would include Uldaman, Zul’Farrak and Maraudon (in that order).
Below is a list of where to place your talent points for levels 40-50 as well:
Assassination: Finish placing the remaining 2 points in Seal Fate. Now start placing the other 8 points in Murder, Focused Attacks and Find Weakness.
Combat: Endurance, Adrenaline Rush, Vitality and Combat Potency
Subtlety: Preparation, Premeditation, Master of Subtlety and Sinister Calling.

Congrats on reaching level 50! In just 10 more levels you’ll get to travel to Outland and beyond! Here are some suggested questing zones for levels 50-60:
If you like questing in the Eastern Kingdoms, finish the available quests in the Blasted Lands first. This will take your Rogue all the way to level 55. Once you’ve completed all of the quests there, start questing in the Burning Steppes, and the Western and Eastern Plaguelands (start with the Western Plaguelands first).
If you like questing in Kalimdor, finish the quests in Azshara and proceed to Felwood and the Un’Goro Crater. You can start questing in Winterspring and/or Silithus once you’re in your mid 50s since this will take you all the way to level 60.
Blackrock Depths, Dire Maul and Stratholme are just some of the dungeons that are available for levels 50-60.
Here’s where you can place your talent points for levels 50-60:
Assassination: Overkill, Mutilate, Master Poisoner and Cut to the Chase
Combat: Surprise Attacks, Unfair Advantage, Savage Combat and Relentless Strikes (located in the Subtlety tree)
Subtlety: Honor Among Thieves, Dual Wield Specialization and Improved Slice and Dice (located in the Combat talent tree),

Now that your Rogue is at level 60 its time to head to Outland! While Outland may seem confusing at first, here is the most popular order for quest zones to visit when you start to level in Outland. Start at Hellfire Peninsula and then work your way to Zangarmarsh, Terokkar Forest, Nagrand, Blade’s Edge Mountains, Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley.
As far as dungeons go, you can do Hellfire Citadel, Coilfang Reservoir, Auchnindoun (a 4-part dungeon; you won’t be able to complete all 4 parts until you’re level 70) and the Caverns of Time: Old Hillsbrad Foothills.

We’re almost at the end for your talent speccing! Here’s where to place your next 10 points (for levels 60-70):
Assassination: Hunger for Blood, Opportunity and Relentless Strikes (located in the Subtlety talent tree) and Dual Wield Specialization (located in the Combat talent tree)
Combat: Prey on the Weak and Malice (located in the Assassination talent tree)
Subtlety: Waylay, Slaughter from the Shadows, Shadow Dance and Improved Slice and Dice (located in the Combat talent tree).
Only 10 more levels to go and you’ll have a level 80 Rogue! Now that you’ve finished questing in Outland, head over to Northrend. Listed below is the most popular questing order: The Borean Tundra, Howling Fjord, Dragonblight, Grizzly Hills, Zul’Drak, Sholazar Basin, Crystalsong Forest, Storm Peaks, Icecrown and Wintergrasp.
There are so many dungeons and raids to do at these levels that it would be crazy to list them all. However, here is a sample list of the dungeons that’s available at these levels: Nexus, Uldar and Icecrown Citadel.
Although you may be at level 80, (or close to it) you should notice that you have some ‘’leftover’’ talent points. Here are some suggestions to where you can place the remaining points:
Assassination: Dual Wield Specialization, Precision, and Close Quarters Combat (3 out of 5 points).
Combat: Killing Spree, Ruthlessness, Blood Spatter, and Lethality (Ruthlessness, Blood Spatter and Lethality are all located in the Assassination talent tree).
Subtlety: Malice (2 points), Improved Eviscerate, Ruthlessness, Remorseless Attacks and Puncturing Wounds (all located in the Assassination talent tree).

For everyone that wants a WOW character that can deal out damage to an enemy before it reaches them and heal themselves at the same time, then choosing a Priest is for you. Although it takes a little bit of thought and planning to play a Priest effectively, it’s still a fun class to play and most end up loving it. Want to know more about becoming a shadow priest or having amazing healing skills? Keep reading the guide below!

The first step in leveling your priest is picking the race you would like to become. The best rule of thumb is this: No matter what anyone tells you, pick the race you would enjoy playing the most. Forget the fact that Blood Elves have Arcane Torrent or that Humans have Diplomacy as their racial abilities. If you don’t enjoy playing a certain race, simply don’t play it, regardless of what anyone says.

Here are the races that you can play as a Priest along with a few of the racial abilities that are beneficial to priests:

Alliance:

Draenei –Heroic Presence which gives a 1% chance to hit with spells and attacks to not only you but other party members as well within 30 yards. Shadow Resistance reduces the chance by 2% that you will be hit by shadow spells.

Dwarf – Mace specialization gives a 3% increase to your expertise in maces. Stone Form removes all disease, bleed and poison effects. It also increases your armor by 10% for 8 seconds.

Human – Mace Specialization gives a 3% increase to your expertise in maces. Every Man for Himself removes all movement impairing effects. Human Spirit increases your spirit by 3.

Night Elf – Quickness reduces the chance by 2% that melee or ranged attackers will hit you. Elusiveness reduces the chance that enemies will detect you while in Shadow or Stealth mode.

Horde:

Blood Elf – Arcane Torrent silences all enemies that are within an 8 yard range for 6 seconds and restores 6% of your mana. Magic Resistance reduces the chance by 2% that you will be hit by spells.

Troll – Berserking; for 10 seconds your attack speed is increased by 20%. Da Voodoo Shuffle reduces all and any movement impairing effects by 15% and Regeneration increases your health regeneration rate by 10%.

Undead – Cannibalize, when active, will regenerate 7% of your total health every 2 seconds for 10 seconds. Will of the Forsaken removes any sleep, charm or fear effect on your character.

Now that you have chosen a race for your newly made priest, it’s now time to start leveling! As always, start leveling in your starting zone (for example Goldshire). Once you have completed all of the quests there, move on to your adjacent zone (example: Elwynn Forest). This will ensure that you get the highest rep and experience points and that you will be level 10 (or higher) once you are done. When you reach level 10, you also receive your first talent point.

When the time comes to choose your talent spec, you have 3 choices: Shadow, Discipline or Holy. If you want high amounts of DPS, choose Shadow. If you want to be a healer (and therefore never have to wait in the dungeon queue) choose Holy. If you would like to focus on a little healing and have strong buffs, Discipline is the way to go.

For the next 10 levels (10-20) you should still have available quests to complete in your adjacent zones (example: Elwynn forest and Westfall). Here’s a suggested list of where to place your first 10 talent points:

Shadow:

Shadow Tap, Improved Shadow Tap and Darkness

Holy:

Improved Renew and Holy Specialization

Discipline:

Twin Disciplines, Improved Inner Fire and Improved Power Word: Fortitude

Be sure that no matter where you decide to quest, that you do the Deadmines as your first dungeon (around level 15). You can also do Ragefire Chasm as well, but that instance isn’t known for having good items (also known as “drops”).

Now that you have reached level 20 and received your first mount, feel free to quest in a few places for levels 20-29. For the Alliance, you can quest in Redridge Mountains, Duskwood and the Wetlands. For the Horde, quest in the Barrens and Stonetalon Mountains.

For levels 20-30 here’s where you can place your talent points:

Shadow:

Improved Shadow Word: Pain, Shadow Focus and Improved Mind Blast

Holy:

Divine Fury (3 out of 5 points), Desperate Prayer, Inspiration and Improved Healing

Discipline:

Meditation, Inner Focus, Improved Power Word: Shield and Absolution

Now that you’re at level 30 you should be starting to notice the slight changes to your new priest. Here’s a list of places for potential questing for levels 30-39. If you prefer questing in the Eastern Kingdoms, head over to Alterac Mountains, Arathi Highlands, the Badlands and Stranglethorn Vale (STV). Keep in mind though, that you will not be able to finish all the quests in these zones until you are level 40. It’s advisable to quest in Stranglethorn Vale (STV) last since leveling there can take you all the way to level 45.

However, if questing in Kalimdor is more for you, start at Thousand Needles, Desolace and save Dustwallow Marsh for last since just like STV, Dustwallow Marsh can take you all the way to level 45. Instances of note at this level are Blackfathom Deeps, Shadowfang Keep,Razorfen Kraul and Gnomeregan.

Once you reached the mid-level 30s (32, 33, etc.) be sure to do Razorfen Downs and the Scarlet Monastery as well.

Here are some places to put your talent points for levels 30-40:

Shadow:

Mind Flay, Veiled Shadows, Shadow Reach, Shadow Weaving and Vampiric Embrace

Holy:

Spiritual Healing and Spiritual Guidance

Discipline:

Mental Agility, Reflective Shield and Mental Strength.

Congratulations on reaching level 40 and receiving your epic mount! You’re now halfway there to an awesome level 80 priest! Now that you are at level 40, here are some places to quest for levels 40-49. If you would like to do most of your questing in the Eastern Kingdoms, finish questing in STV and the Badlands. Once you’ve finished there you can head over to the Hinterlands and the Searing Gorge. You can also start questing in the Blasted Lands, but just like STV it will take you (at least) to level 55 to finish. If questing in Kalimdor is more for you, finish questing in Dustwallow Marsh and then head over to Feralas and Tanaris.

Good instances at level 40 or so are Zul’Farrak, Maraudon and Uldaman. Although you can enter Uldaman at level 37, it is strongly suggested (especially if you’re in a Pick Up Group) that you wait until you’re at least at level 40 or 41.

For levels 40-50 here’s where you can place your next 10 talent points:

Shadow:

Shadow Form, Improved Vampiric Embrace, Focused Mind and Improved Devouring Plague.

Holy:

Spirit of Redemption, Holy Concentration and Blessed Resilience

Discipline:

Soul Warding, Focused Power, Enlightenment, Focused Will (1 point) and Power Infusion

Now that you’re at level 50, here are some places to quest and explore for levels 50-59. For those of you that love to quest in Kalimdor, Azshara, Felwood and the Un’goro Cratr are good places to start. They will take you to level 55. Finish up in Winterspring and Silithus. For all the Eastern Kingdom lovers, finish any quests you may have in the Blasted Lands and then begin the journey to the Burning Steppes, Western and Eastern Plaguelands.

For levels 50-60, here’s where you can place your talent points:

Shadow:

Mind Melt, Shadow Power, and Misery.

Holy:

Empowered Healing, Empowered Renew and Circle of Healing

Discipline:

Improved Flash Heal, Renewed Hope, Rapture and Aspiration

And now you’re at level 60 and on your way to Outland! Although questing in Outland may seem overwhelming at first, here’s the most popular order of zones to follow when questing here:

Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh, Terokkar Forest, Nagrand, Blade’s Edge Mountains, Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley. There are quite a few instances that are available for levels 50-60. However, if you only do one dungeon at this level pick Blackrock Depths. Blackrock Depths is known for the massive amounts of cloaks, cloth armor, trinkets and rings that are available for all cloth wearers, especially priests.

For levels 60-69 (or 70) here’s where to place the last of your talent points:

Shadow:

Vampiric Touch, Pain and Suffering, Twisted Faith and Dispersion

Holy:

Test of Faith, Divine Providence and Guardian Spirit

Discipline:

Divine Aegis, Pain Suppression, Grace, Borrowed Time and Penance

Way to go! Only 10 more levels and you’ll have a level 80 priest! Questing from level 70-80 takes place in Nothrend. Just like Outland, here’s the most popular order for questing in the icy zone. Start in the Borean Tundra then proceed to the Howling Fjord, Dragonblight, Grizzly Hills, Zul’Drak, Sholazar Basin, Crystalsong Forest, Storm Peaks, Icecrown and Wintergrasp.

Between the amount of raids and dungeons that you can do from levels 60-80 are simply mind blowing. Here’s just a small sample of some of the dungeons you can do:

For levels 60-70:

Hellfire Citadel, Coilfang Reservoir and Caverns of Time

For levels 70-80:

Auchindon, Magister’s Terace, Tempest Keep and Ulduar

You should have noticed by now that you have a few talent points left over. Here are some suggestions to where you can place these points to make your specc’ing even better.

For the Shadow talent spec, place you remaining points in the Discipline talent tree under Twin Disciplines, Improved Inner Fire, Improved Power Word: Fortitude and Meditation.

For the Holy talent spec, place your remaining points in the Discipline talent tree as well. But choose to place your remaing points in Twin Disciplines, Silent Resolve, Improved Power Word: Fortitude, Meditation and Improved Power Word: Sheild.

And last but not least, if you decided to spec in the Discipline talent tree, place the remaining points in the Holy talent tree. Good places to put the leftover points are Healing Focus, Improved Renew, Holy Specialization and Desperate Prayer.

One of the best features about the Zygor Guide is that it offers both Horde and Alliance versions. No matter which race you are (Blood elf, Orc, Undead, Tauren, or Troll), you’ll be able to use the Zygor Horde Guide all the way to 80!
One of my favorite features of the Zygor Guide is the waypoint arrow. As I’m sure you know - Zygor’s Guide only has you do the quests that give the best experience and rewards, it discards the “crap quests”. With this waypoint arrow (works like a WoW addon), you can almost quest on auto-pilot. You rarely have to open your map, or try to find mobs or items for hours - just simply follow the arrow.

My next favorite feature is how the addon automatically distributes my talent points for me, where they should be for the fastest leveling. I don’t know the best spec for every class, so it’s nice that when I start leveling a new class how the addon takes care of my talent points in the best way possible.
The bottom line is the Zygor Guide is hands-down the best leveling guide there is. It doesn’t matter if you’re horde or alliance, new to the game, or a seasoned professional - the zygor guide will allow you to leveling insanely fast. The best part of the game is level 80 (end-game). So why spend all your time leveling? Grab the Zygor Guide by clicking the link below and hit level 80 in no time.

If you’ve ever seen a WOW toon that was wearing the most awesome gear with some of the coolest enchantments, you probably just laid your eyes on a Death Knight (DK). Death Knight’s are WOW’s first hero class that became available during Wrath of the Lich King expansion pack.

One of the best things about being a Death Knight, besides the fact that you’re an awesome hybrid class, is that you can be ANY race that you want. That’s right, being a Death Knight is open to all races once you reach level 55. And speaking of levels, here’s some quick tips and hints on how to level your death knight.
Since you can’t be a Death Knight until level 55, we’ll start the leveling guide there. During levels 55-58, your Death Knight will be placed into a special “quest chain” that gives you somewhat of a tutorial on how to play your Death Knight. If this is your first time becoming a DK, I strongly suggest setting aside some free time instead of rushing through it. The reason isn’t because it’s difficult, but because this stage should be fully enjoyed without any interruptions. The quest chain and starter zone for the Death Knight is absolutely wicked; you don’t want to rush through it.
Once you’ve finished the DK starting zone, which will be around level 58, make your way from the Blasted Lands to the Dark Portal which will take you through Outland. Once you start to level in Outland, you may be surprised that you’re leveling quicker than you thought. Leveling a Death Knight doesn’t seem to become more challenging until mid 60s.
While you’re leveling, your quests will be in Outland and Northrend. Here’s a quick layout of which zones to go to in order while you’re leveling your DK:
Outland:

For levels 58-63 quest in Hellfire Peninsula.
For levels 60-64 quest in Zangarmarsh.
For levels 62-65 quest in Terokkar Forest
For levels 64-67 quest in Nagrand.
For levels 65-68 Blade’s Edge Mountains.
Northrend:
For levels 68-72 quest in the Borean Tundra and the Howling Fjord.
For levels 71-78 quest in Dragonblight, Grizzly Hills, Zul’Drak and Sholazar Basin.
For levels 78-80 (although you can start at level 77) quest in Crystalsong Forest, Storm Peaks and Icecrown.
As you can see, a lot of the quest zones overlap (especially in Northrend). Keep in mind that the above order isn’t a hard and fast rule. You can quest any way you like and more than likely you will level a bit quicker than the layout says. It all depends on how many people are in the specified zone at the time and how good you are Most DKs though, find that they reach level 80 before they make it to Northrend.
As far as talents go, a DK has 3 choices: Blood, Frost and Unholy. Blood is great for leveling, PvE and has great healing abilities for not only yourself but others as well.
Here are some suggestions on where to place your points if you decide to spec in Blood:

Butchery (2 points)
Subversion (3 points)
Bladed Armor (5 points)
Two Handed Weapon Specialization (2 points)
Rune Tap
Dark Conviction (5 points)
Death Rune Mastery (3 points)
Bloody Strikes (3 points)
Veteran of the Third War (3 points)
Bloody Vengeance (3 points)
Abomination’s Might (2 points)
Hysteria
Improved Presence (2 points)
Improved Death Strike (2 points)
Sudden Down (3 points)
Vampiric Blood
Heart Strike
Might of Mograine (3 points)
Blood Gorged (5 points)
Dancing Rune Weapon
Although the above is optional, it’s strongly suggested to place your some of your Blood points in the following:
Two Handed Weapon Specialization
Sudden Down
Heart Strike
Abomination’s Might
Hysteria
Dancing Rune Weapon

If you’re not sure as to where to place your remaining talent points that you haven’t used, consider placing them in the Unholy tree.
If Blood isn’t your thing but tanking is, you should consider spec-ing in the Frost tree. Frost is a great spec for tanking since it generates an incredible amount of damage. Here are some suggestions for where to place your points:
Improved Icy Touch (3 points)
Toughness (5 points)
Black (5 points)
Annihilation (3 points)
Killing Machine (5 points)
Chill of the Grave (2 points)
Frigid Dreadplate (3 points)
Glacier Rot (3 points)
Rime (3 points)
Hungering Cold
Improved Frost Presence (2 points)
Threat of Thassarian (3 points)
Blood of the North (1 out of 3 points)
Acclimation (1 out of 3 points)
Frost Strike
Guile of Gorefiend (3 points)
Tundra Stalker (1 out of 5 points)
Howling Blast (remember that this requires at least 1 point in Unholy)

It’s highly recommended though to place some of your points in these key talents in the Frost spec:
Bladed Armor
Black Ice
Frigid Dreadplate
Hungering Cold

If you’re unsure of where to place your remaining talent points, one suggestion is to place them in the Blood spec. If you’re not sure where to place them in the Blood spec, Virulence or Epidemic are good choices.
And last but not least for those of you that like lots of DPS, look no further than the Unholy spec. Unholy is also great for those of you that plan to raid a lot during the game. Here’s where you can place your points in this spec:
Vicious Strikes (2 points)
Anticipation (5 points)
Epidemic (2 points)
Unholy Command (2 points)
Ravenous Dead (3 points)
Outbreak (3 points)
Necrosis (1 out of 5 points)
On a Pale Horse (2 points)
Blood-Caked Blade (3 points)
Night of the Dead (2 points)
Unholy Blight
Impurity (3 out of 5 points)
Desecration (2 points)
Magic Suppression (1 out of 3 points)
Reaping (3 points)
Master of Ghouls
Desolation (2 out 5 points)
Improved Unholy Presence (2 points)
Ghoul Frenzy
Crypt Fever (3 points)
Bone Shield
Wandering Plague (3 points)
Ebon Plaguebringer (3 points)
Scourge Strike
Rage of Rivendare (5 points)
Summon Gargoyle

No matter where you decide to place your points in the Unholy spec, it’s strongly advised to place some of them in the following talents:
Ravenous Dead
Corpse Explosion
Master of Ghouls
Night of the Dead
Unholy Blight

If you have any remaining points left, a good spec to place them in is Blood.

Have you ever wanted an “all-in-one” type character in WOW? If so, than becoming a Druid is for you! Playing a druid gives you the ability to play a multitude of classes in one toon ranging from healing to casting to tanking! Here’s a helpful guide for leveling your druid.

One of the few limitations to being a Druid is the number of races you’re able to choose from. When it comes to becoming a druid, you can choose between a Night Elf (Alliance) or Tauren (Horde).

Where Druids lack in the number of races you can choose from, it makes up for it with the number of forms that you can “change” in to. Druids can transform into 7 different forms:

Bear/Dire Bear Form: These two forms change you into a bear and increases your armor, attack power and stamina. Bear form increases your armor similar to that of mail armor and Dire Bear Form increases your armor similar to plate armor.

Cat Form: This form allows you to transform into a cat and increases your attack power and Agility. Two things to note is that while being in cat form your mana bar is removed and replaced with an energy bar that regenerates 20 energy every 2 seconds. Also, you’re able to stealth in cat form.

Moonkin Form: This form turns you into an “owl” type creature and is also nicknamed ”Boomkin”. This is THE form for casting giving you over 300% armor from your items and a 5% chance to critical strike.

Tree of Life: Just as the name says, this is the form for healing. This form is mainly used for healing spells and casts, but allows some “nature” derived spells as well such as Thorns.

Travel Form: If you need to get (or leave) somewhere quickly and can’t use your mount (or you don’t have a mount yet), this is the form to use. Travel Form gives you a 40% movement increase.

Aquatic Form: Pretty much the same as Travel Form except it gives you a 50% movement increase in water.

Flight Form: Unfortunately this is a form you will not be able to use until level 60. However once you’re able to use it, you can fly (where ever flight is available). A bonus for being in this form is the ability to gather mineral nodes.

Now that we know more about being a Druid, lets get into leveling! Remember to always level first in your starting zone (for example, Durotar) and then move on to the adjacent area (for example, The Barrens). Halfway through this, you will reach level 10 and receive your first point for your talent tree. The choices for a Druid’s talent spec are Restoration, Feral Combat and Balance. Feral is for those that want to be melee base or tank whereas Balance is for those that prefer to be long ranged. Restoration is for those that want to heal. Though restoration may sound boring, it also makes it more difficult for enemy players and mobs to kill you. No matter which talent you decide to spec in, here’s a few suggestions to where you can place your talent points for levels 10-20:
Feral: Ferocity and Feral Aggression.

Balance: Starlight Wrath, Moonglow and Nature’s Majesty.

Restoration: Improved Mark of the Wild, Nature’s Focus and Natural Shapeshifter.

By the time you finish this, you should be at level 20. Some places for your Druid to quest are The Barrens (Horde) or Darkshore (Alliance). Don’t forget to do the instance The Deadmines (available starting at level 15). It is up to you if you wish to do Ragefire Chasm as well, but its not necessary unless you would like the extra experience.

For levels 20-30 you can place your talent points as such:

Feral: Feral Instinct, Savage Fury, Feral Swiftness and Sharpened Claws.

Balance: Brambles, Nature’s Grace and Nature’s Reach

Restoration: Subtlety, Intensity, Omen of Clarity, Master Shapeshifter

Places to quest for your druid include Ashenvale and the Wetlands. Keep in mind that Ashenvale is a contested area so you will run into both Horde and Alliance players. You can also quest in Thousand Needles, but I would wait until level 27 or so because Thousand Needles has quests all the way up to level 35. Two great dungeons to do at this level are Shadowfang Keep and Blackfathom Deeps. The Stockades is available at this level too but honestly, its pretty much a waste of time. Only do the Stockades for extra experience or completing quests.

After level 30, you’re only 10 levels away from receiving your epic mount! For levels 31-40 try questing in these zones: Stranglethorn Vale, Hillsbrad Foothills, Desolace and Thousand Needles. I would recommend starting off with Thousand Needles first, and doing the quests for Strangethorn Vale last. Reason being is because the quests in Stranglethorn Vale (STV) can take you all the way to level 45.

Gnomeregan (Gnomer), Razorfen Downs, and Scarlet Monastery are instances that you can complete at these levels. It is true that you can enter Uldaman at level 39, but personally I would wait a few more levels (around level 43 or so). As far as the rest of the dungeons go, I would do them in the above order.

For the next set of talent points (for levels 30-40) place them as so:

Feral: Shredding Attacks, Predatory Strikes, Primal Fury, Primal Precision and Feral Charge

Balance: Vengeance, Celestial Focus and Insect Swarm

Restoration: Improved Rejuvenation, Nature’s Swiftness and Gift of Nature

Congratulations on reaching level 40 (or 41) and receiving your epic mount!
Places to quest from levels 41-50 include Stranglethorn Vale, Feralas, Tanaris and The Hinterlands. I would advise starting with STV first. Dungeons to complete at this level are Uldaman, Zul’Farrak and Maraudon.

As far as talent points go, place your points like this:

Feral: Heart of the Wild, Survival of the Fittest and Leader of the Pack and Survival Instincts

Balance: Moonfury, Moonkin Form and Improved Moonkin Form.

Restoration: Nature’s Bounty, Living Spirit and Swiftmend

During levels 50 (or 51) to level 60, try questing in these areas/zones: Searing Gorge, Blasted Lands, Un’Goro Crater, Felwood, Burning Steppes, Winterspring, Western and Eastern Plaguelands. Instances at this level include Temple of Atal’Hakkar (also known as the Sunken Temple), Blackrock Depths, Blackrock Spire, Stratholme and Scholomance.

For levels 50-60 here are some good places to put your talent points:

Feral: Predatory Instincts, King of the Jungle,Mangle and Improved Mangle

Balance: Wrath of Cenarius, Eclipse and Gale Winds

Restoration: Empowered Rejuvenation and Living Seed

Now that you’ve reached level 60,welcome to Outland! Although Outland may seem a bit intimidating remember to take your time questing through it. There are tons of quests that are available and most overlap one another at some point. Just remember to take your time and enjoy it! Here’s one of the most popular orders for the questing zones in
Outland:Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh, Terokkar Forest, Nagrand, Blade’s Edge Mountains, Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley.

Take your 10 points and place them as follows:

Feral: Rend and Tear, Primal Gore and Berserk

Balance: Earth & Moon and Starfall

Restoration: Revitalize,Tree of Life, Improved Tree of Life and Gift of the Earthmother

Dungeons and raids at level 60 and up are at an abundance ranging from Dire Maul, The Nexus and Utgarde Keep, just to name a few.

Next stop is Northrend! Northrend has some similarities as Outland such as the amount of quest that are available and the overlapping of quests. And just like in Outland, here is the recommended order for zones in Northrend: Borean Tundra (starting at leveling 68), Howling Fjord, Dragon Blight, Grizzly Hills, Crystalsong Forest, Zul’Drak, Sholazar Basin, The Storm Peaks, Hrothgar’s Landing and Icecrown.

By this time you should have noticed that you have some remaining points left. I recommend placing these remaining points into other specs just to round out your talent tree. You don’t not have to wait until you reach level 70 or higher to do this. In fact, I would recommend alternating between the 2 trees while you’re leveling, starting at level 10. Here are my suggestions for where to place the remaining talent points:

Feral (16 points left, place in Rejuvenation): Improved Mark of the Wild, Furor (3 points), Naturalist, Natural Shapeshifter, Omen of Clarity and Master Shapeshifter.

Balance: (16 points left, place in Rejuvenation): Improved Mark of the Wild, Furor, Natural Shapeshifter, Intensity, Omen of Clarity and Master Shapeshifter

Rejuvenation (15 points left, place in Balance): Wild Growth (located in the Rejuvenation tree), Genesis, Moonglow, Nature’s Majesty, Nature’s Grace and Nature’s Splendor.

Another suggestion is to complete the other half of the tree once you receive your duel spec.

Leveling a hunter is probably one of the coolest classes to play in WOW. Although leveling a hunter isn’t as easy as leveling a paladin, it also isn’t as difficult as leveling a mage. A hunter is a good class to level for someone that has a little experience in playing WOW or another game like it, or even a beginner that wants a little bit of a challenge.

The first step in leveling a hunter is choosing your race. The good thing when it comes to hunters is that race doesn’t play as important of a role as some of the other classes would. When choosing a race for your hunter, you have seven choices: Dwarf, Night Elf, Draenei (Alliance) and Orc, Tauren, Troll and Blood Elf (Horde). First we’ll start with the Alliance. If you’ve played WOW before, then you’ve probably noticed a lot of Dwarf hunters around. The reason why is because of the racial ability Gun Specialization, which increases the chance to critically strike by 1%. This makes Dwarves a very good race to play if you’re looking to be a hunter. If Dwarves aren’t your thing, another good Alliance race is the Draenei. Draenei’s have the racial trait Gift of the Naaru, a heal over time (HoT) effect. Last but not least, are the Night Elves, which is better suited for PvP due to the trait Shadowmeld, which allows you to hide from either other players or higher level mobs.

On the Horde side, the favorite hunter race would have to be the Trolls. The Trolls possess racial abilities that’s great for improving your DPS. From Berserking to Bow Specialization, you can see why Trolls are the most favored.

Blood Elves, Taurens an Orcs are all good hunter races to play overall. Blood Elves have the racial trait of Arcane Torrent, which silences enemy players and mobs within 8 yards. Taurens gain a 5% bonus to health, which comes in handy no matter what class you decided to be. Orcs benefit from Command which gives a 5% increase for pet damage.

After you’ve chosen the race for your hunter, the next course of action is to become comfortable with your new toon. Although hunters are known for their pets, you won’t receive your pet until level 10. Take this time to become more familiar with hunter by learning how many mobs you can pull and knowing when you use auto-shoot.

As always when you first start to level a new toon, be sure to do all of the quests in your starting zone, the adjacent zone and be sure to visit your trainer every 2 levels. Hunters are known for being able to visit their trainers less than other classes and still have insane amounts of DPS, but its better to visit every 2 levels. This way you won’t be stuck with having to learn a lot of spells and casts all at once.

Once you’ve reached level 10, you also begin receiving talent points. Hunters have 3 talent specs to choose from: Beast Mastery, Marksmanship, and Survival. When it comes to choosing your talent tree, it all depends on if you want to be able to solo better or do PvP? Here’s a quick run-down of each talent spec:

Beast Mastery – This talent spec focuses on your beast, or in other words your pet. This spec gives you the ability to not only increase your pet’s DPS, but also gives you the ability to tame the more “exotic” pets in the game. The only drawback to this talent tree is that your toon might suffer because a great deal of the tree is focusing on your pet.

Marksmanship - If you want insane amounts of damage this is the spec for you. The marksmanship spec focuses on the hunter’s damage enhancing talents for both short and long ranged.

Survival – If you’re all about traps, this spec is the best. This tree allows you to enhance your traps which in turn increases the damage dealt. Though it may not sounds as interesting as Beast Mastery or Marksmanship, if played right, Survival can be a very strong talent spec.

Before you reach level 20, be sure to do the instance The Deadmines. Ragefire Chasm is another dungeon available before level 20 level as well, but it isn’t worth it unless you want the additional experience.

For your first 10 points, place them in Improved Aspect of the Hawk and Endurance Training no matter what you plan on spec-ing in.

Once you reached level 20 and have received your first mount and completed your starting and adjacent zones, you can began questing and leveling in other areas. Good places to quest for levels 20-30 are Redridge Mountains,Duskwood, and the Wetlands for the Alliance. Good places to quest for the Horde side are The Barrens, Ashenvale and Stonetalon Mountains. Dungeons available at this level are Shadowfang Keep and Blackfathom Deeps. The Stockades can be done at this level as well, but just like Ragefire Chasm, its not worth it unless you want the extra experience.

From levels 20-30, here are some places to put your talent points:

Best Mastery – Focused Fire, Improved Revive Pet, Aspect Mastery and Unleashed Fury.

Marksmanship – Lethal Shots and Mortal Shots

Survival – Improved Tracking, Trap Mastery and Survival Instincts

For levels 30-40, the questing zones are contested or in other words, available to both Horde and Alliance players. Consider questing in the following zones: Stranglethorn Vale, Hillsbrad Foothills, Desolace and Thousand Needles. Here are some things to note: At level 33 you can obtain all of the quests in Hillsbrad Foothills that you wouldn’t have been able to obtain at level 30. Stranglethorn Vale (STV) should be done last since you can level all the way to 45 (if not a level or 2 higher). I would recommend starting out in Thousand Needles or running an instance first such as Gnomeregan. Speaking of instances, dungeons at this level are Gnomeregan, Razorfen Kraul and Razorfen Downs. I would suggest doing the dungeons in that order. As far as talent points go for this level brackets, you can place your points as follows:

Beast Mastery – Ferocity, Improved Mend Pet, Intimidation and Bestial Discipline.

Marksmanship – Careful Aim, Go for the Throat (1 point), Improved Arcane Shot, Aimed Shot and Rapid Killing

Survival – Survivalist, T.N.T.

Now that you’ve passed level 40 and received your epic mount, some good places to quest for levels 41-50 are Stranglethorn Vale, Feralas, Tanaris and The Hinterlands. You can also quest in the Badlands but be prepared that you have to really look for a lot of the quests there. Instances of note at this level are Uldaman, Scarlet Monastery and Zul’Farrak. You can also do Maraudon at this level too but I would advise waiting a few more levels.

For levels 41-50 , you talent points can be placed as follows:
Beast Mastery – Animal Handler, Frenzy (3 points), Ferocious Inspiration and Bestial Wrath.

Marksmanship – Improved Stings, Readiness, Barrage and Ranged Weapon Specialization.

Survival – Lock and Load, Hunter vs. Wild and Killer Instinct

When you reach levels 51-60, great places to quest are the Searing Gorge, Blasted Lands, Un’Goro Crater, Felwood, Burning Steppes, Winterspring,Western and Eastern Plaguelands. Instances to run at these levels are Temple of Atal’Hakkar, Blackrock Depths, Blackrock Spire, Stratholme, and Scholmance. Talent points can be distributed as such:

Beast Mastery -Serpent’s Swiftness, Longevity and The Beast Within

Marksmanship – Combat Experience, Trueshot Aura, Improved Barrage, and Rapid Recuperation

Survival – Lightning Reflexes, Resourcefulness, and Expose Weakness (2 points)

Congratulations on reaching level 60! Now that you’re at this level you can begin questing in Outland and Northerend. Here’s a recommended order:

Outland: Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh, Terokkar Forest, Nagrand, Blade’s Edge Mountains, Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley.

Northrend: Borean Tundra (starting at leveling 68), Howling Fjord, Dragon Blight, Grizzly Hills, Crystalsong Forest, Zul’Drak, Sholazar Basin, The Storm Peaks, Hrothgar’s Landing and Icecrown.

There are various of dungeons and raid to complete at these levels ranging from Hellfire Citadel to Caverns of Time: The Culling of Stratholme.

As far as talent points goes be sure to be place your remaining points as follows (remember you have 20 points left):

Beast Mastery: Kindred Spirits and Beast Mastery. If you have any talent points left, feel free to place them anywhere you want, however avoid placing them in Catlike Reflexes and Pathfinding. Its true that Pathfinding sounds useful but now with mounts available at level 20 its just a waste of points.

Marksmanship: Master Marksman and Chimera Shot. Place the remaining point anywhere else but avoid Concussive Barrage and Improved Concussive Shot. I would only advise putting points there if you planned on PvPing.

Survival – Wyvern Sting, Black Arrow, Sniper Training, Hunting Party, and Explosive Shot. Avoid placing any remaining points in anything that support hunter melee attacks like Deflection and Savage Strikes.
